→It allows double-action compaction and maintaining for hydrocarbon mixtures:
• A load of 60 kN ± 0.5% for 5 minutes on each specimen for hydrocarbon mixtures with D<14mm.
• A load of 180 kN ± 0.5% for 5 minutes on each specimen for hydrocarbon mixtures with D≥14 mm.
→It can be used for simple compression test on compacted specimens
The speed of the press platen is set to a speed between 45 mm/min and 65 mm/min ± 2 mm/min. The simple compression strength is determined from the maximum load at the rupture of the test specimen.
The load must be reached within 5 to 60 seconds maximum and maintained between 295 and 305 seconds. After this time, the load application is stopped.
