→Used in stress corrosion test for pre-stressed concrete wire (PC Wire) and pre-stressed concrete steel strand (PC Strand).
→The test determines the time to fracture of a test piece maintained at a constant tensile force specified in the relevant product standard and immersed in a solution of thiocyanate, at a given constant temperature.
→PC WIRE (Pre-Stressed Concrete Wire):PCWIRE refers to a specific type of steel wire designed for use in pre-stressed concrete applications. Pre-stressed concrete is a construction material in which steel wires, such as PCWIRE, are tensioned before the concrete is poured. This reinforces the structure and enhances its strength and durability.
→A PC Strand is a high-strength, steel strand used in the construction industry for pre-stressed concrete application. Pre-stressed concrete is a type of reinforced concrete that is strategically pre-compressed to increase its tensile strength and overall performance. PC Strands are typically made from multiple high-strength 7 steel wires twisted together to form a helical pattern. This design enhances their load-bearing capacity. They are widely used in various construction projects, including bridges, high-rise buildings, parking structures, and other large-scale concrete structures.
