→CF(Carbon Fiber), also called carbon fiber pipe, carbon pipe, it is a new high strength, high modulus fiber material with more than 95% carbon content. It is made first presoaked in resin and then processed by solidification, wraping, roll or pultrusion. It is mainly combined with resin, metals, ceramics to be construction materials. It is a new material with excellent property to be as high property engineering material.
→According to raw material, the carbon fiber can be divided into PAN-based carbon fiber, asphalt-based carbon fiber, viscose-based carbon fiber, novoloid-based carbon fiber, vapor-grown carbon fiber. According to state, it is divided into filament, short fiber, chopped fiber.
→According to mechanical property, the carbon fiber is divided into general type (1000Mpa, 100Gp), high strength type (,middle-modulus high-strength type (strength above 2000MPa, modulus 250Gp), high-modulus type (above 300Gp), ultrahigh strength type (above 4000MPa), and ultrahigh-modulus type (above 450Gp).
→According to specification, the carbon fiber can be divided into space level and industrial level, also called small tow and large tow. The carbon fiber with specification 1K, 3K, 6K, 12K and 24K is called small-tow carbon fiber and mainly used in military industry and aviation field and so it is named as space level carbon fiber. The carbon fiber with specificatin above 36K (usually 48K, 60K,120K, 180K,360K and 480K) is called large-tow carbon fiber.
→The tensile strength of carbon fiber composite tube is above 3000/3500MPa and is 6-12 times of ordinary steel. The mechanical property depends on the carbon fibril content (1k means there are 1000 pcs. of fibril in a bunch of carbon fiber yarn) .
→The ordinary carbon fiber composite tubes have carbon fiber round tube, square tube, 3K carbon tube, rectangular tube, octagonal tube, polygan tube, bent tube, T-tube, profiled tube, sublight/bright plain tube, etc. The carbon fiber tube size: outer diameter Ф0.5mm-600mm, length 2mm-5500mm, wall thickness 0.2mm-50mm.
