JB/T 11959-2026, Hardmetal Sealing Rings for Mechanical Seals, comes into force on September 1, 2026. It applies to the manufacture of hardmetal sealing rings for mechanical seals with an outer diameter of 14 mm to 240 mm on the mechanical-seal shaft (or shaft sleeve). This standard specifies product classification, technical requirements, main structural patterns and dimensions of hardmetal sealing rings for mechanical seals, describes corresponding test methods, and defines requirements for inspection regulations, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
The 200 N·m Mechanical End-face Seal Wear-Leakage Testing Machine is used to evaluate the friction and wear behaviour of floating-seal assemblies during rotation, so as to investigate and verify the reliability and durability of floating-seal rings. Rotation runs with lubricating oil injected to simulate real-world service conditions containing oil, gas, water, dust, clay and sand particles. Real-time monitoring is implemented for lubricating-oil leakage and test temperature of the floating-seal ring. Overload accelerated tests are carried out at 4-5 times the actual operating condition of the floating-seal ring. The machine can perform axial-loading performance tests, as well as simultaneous tests with angular misalignment loading and eccentric-shaft offset loading for floating-seal rings. Temperature-time curves and torque-time curves of the floating-seal ring can be plotted.
Mechanical end-face seal assemblies function as bearing seals. Their applications cover floating seals for disc cutters of TBM tunnel-boring machines, end-face seals for construction machinery, floating end-face seals for tracked vehicles such as excavators and bulldozers, floating end-face seals for coal-mine shearers and conveyors, gearbox end-face seals for heavy-duty dump trucks and lorries, end-face seals for wheel axles and drive shafts, end-face seals for agricultural machinery, end-face seals for mixing agitators, and end-face seals for pitch bearings of wind turbines.
